About
Born and raised in Edinburgh, Fraser Urquhart is one of the U.K's foremost pianists specialising in jazz and American show-tunes of the 1920s-1950s.
Now based in London he performs regularly as a leader and sideman at the best music venues in and around the city: Crazy Coqs, Ronnie Scott's, Pizza Express Jazz Club, Downstairs at 180 etc. Most at home accompanying singers Fraser's sophistication and restraint in accompaniment has led to frequent performances/collaborations with some of the best interpreters of American Popular song globally including: Stella Cole (5x EU tours), Gabrielle Stravelli, Elaine Delmar, Emma Smith, David Marino, Naama, Hetty Kate, Georgia Cecile, Jo Harrop, Marvin Mouneke among others. His debut album as a leader, "I Leave This At Your Ear", was released in spring 2025 to critical acclaim.
